Allison Baker Obituary, Death – The Austin Police Department has identified the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle on Thursday at an intersection in Tarrytown. The victim, Allison Baker, aged 65, succumbed to her injuries following the incident at the intersection of Hillview Road and Greenlee Drive, according to APD. Additionally, another pedestrian, whose identity has not been disclosed, was involved in the collision and was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Investigators report that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Authorities indicated that the driver did not sustain any injuries and was not under the influence of any substances. At this time, no charges have been mentioned against the driver.
The incident occurred shortly after 8:30 a.m. on August 8. This crash is being investigated as the 51st fatal incident in Austin for the year 2024, resulting in a total of 54 fatalities.
