Andrea-Gabrielle Miller Obituary, Death – Authorities in Hawaii Island have reported that a female pedestrian, who was struck by a pickup truck earlier this week in Pahoa, has succumbed to her injuries, marking the 21st traffic-related death in the county this year. The victim has been identified as 49-year-old Andrea-Gabrielle Miller, a resident of Pahoa.
According to police, the incident occurred on Monday at 5:43 a.m. when a 2022 Hyundai pickup truck travelling west on Ainaloa Boulevard collided with Miller, who was reportedly in the process of crossing the street. The driver, a 36-year-old man from Pahoa, did not sustain any injuries.
Emergency medical personnel discovered Miller unresponsive at the scene and transported her to Hilo Benioff Medical Center in critical condition. She was pronounced dead at 11:20 a.m. on Thursday. An autopsy has been requested to ascertain the precise cause of her death.
Currently, authorities do not suspect that impairment or excessive speed contributed to the accident. The investigation is ongoing, and multiple witness accounts are being reviewed.
