Angel Balderas, Jr. Obituary, Death – A deadly incident in Jacksonville unfolded after a traffic crash escalated into a shooting, authorities reported.
The Jacksonville Police Department responded to a call just before 10 p.m. on Thursday regarding a crash at the intersection of Myrtle Drive and Sam Boles Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered 33-year-old Angel Balderas Jr. suffering from a gunshot wound.
Balderas was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Police detained and questioned the suspected shooter at the scene, but no charges have been filed at this time.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash and subsequent shooting.
