Angela Narciso Obituary, Death – A tragic incident occurred on Lacamas Lake on Thursday, resulting in the death of a woman following a collision between two jet skis. At 7:11 p.m. on August 8, a 911 call was made reporting that a woman had been rescued from the water after the two personal watercraft collided, as stated by the Camas-Washougal Fire Department and the Camas Police Department.
According to authorities, the operators of the jet skis were acquaintances. During the crash, both a woman and a 10-year-old child were thrown into the water, although they were both wearing life jackets. A nearby boater successfully retrieved the woman and child from the lake, and emergency medical efforts were initiated for the woman. Fortunately, the child and the other jet ski operator sustained no injuries. The second operator remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
The woman was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. She has been identified as 48-year-old Angela Narciso from Vancouver. The Camas Police Department is currently investigating the incident and encourages any witnesses who have not yet come forward to reach out to Sergeant Stefan Hausinger at (360) 817-1503 or via email at Stefan.hausinger@cityofcamas.us. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit is also providing assistance in the investigation.
Chief Tina Jones expressed her sorrow regarding the tragic outcome, stating, “We are deeply saddened to hear of this deadly outcome from what should have been a fun summer day on our beautiful lake. Condolences to the family and friends impacted by this loss. We have heard of several water-related fatal incidents this summer in the region, and it is a sober reminder for everyone to take precautions. Please operate vessels safely, wear personal flotation devices, take a boater safety class, have all the required safety equipment, be aware of others in the water, and get up to date on CPR. We appreciate the technical support from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol Unit as we navigate this investigation.”
