Arthur Breton III Obituary, Death – A tragic accident in Genesee County claimed the life of a 17-year-old bicyclist on Sunday evening after he was struck by an SUV.
Authorities reported that the crash occurred around 6:40 p.m. on Tesnow Road in the Town of Alabama. The victim, identified as Arthur Breton III from Corfu, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to sheriff’s deputies, both the SUV and Breton were traveling in the same direction when the driver, while going up a hill, failed to see the bicycle in time. The impact of the collision threw Breton off his bike, and he landed on the shoulder of the road.
Following the crash, the driver and her son immediately attempted first aid while waiting for emergency responders to arrive. Despite their efforts, Breton did not survive.
Deputies continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident, though they have ruled out drugs and alcohol as contributing factors.
