Braiden Johnson Obituary, Death – Authorities have identified a teenager who was fatally shot early Saturday morning in Franklinton as 14-year-old Braiden Johnson.
The Columbus Division of Police responded to a shooting report in the 100 block of Dana Avenue, near West Town Street, around 1:20 a.m. Upon arrival, officers detained several individuals at the scene and began investigating.
Police soon learned that Johnson had already been transported to a hospital by a family member. According to a public safety dispatcher, Johnson was taken to Mount Carmel Franklinton, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 1:35 a.m.
Due to the circumstances surrounding the shooting, authorities have stated that the case will be referred to the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office to determine if any criminal charges will be filed.
