Brandon Martins Obituary, Death – Police are conducting an investigation following a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred around noon on Monday in Orono. The incident, which was reported to the Orono Police Department at approximately 11:45 a.m., took place in front of Penobscot Valley Dermatology on Main Street.
According to the police, the collision involved a motorcycle and an SUV. The accident occurred when the SUV was making a left turn into the parking lot of Penobscot Valley Dermatology. The motorcycle and the SUV collided as the turn was being executed.
The motorcyclist, identified as 31-year-old Brandon Martins, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The driver of the SUV was reported to be uninjured.
Initial findings from the police suggest that speed might have played a role in the crash. However, no criminal charges are anticipated at this time. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident is still ongoing.
