Breauna L. Vaughn Obituary, Death – A fatal crash on Interstate 5 in Cowlitz County late Monday night claimed the life of an 18-year-old woman, according to Washington State Patrol (WSP).
The accident occurred at approximately 10:45 p.m. near milepost 44. Authorities reported that a 2005 Toyota 4Runner was traveling northbound at a high speed when, for reasons yet to be determined, it veered off the road and collided with trees.
The driver, identified as Breauna L. Vaughn of Eagle Creek, was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials confirmed that she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
WSP stated that neither drugs nor alcohol appear to have played a role in the incident. However, investigators are still working to determine the exact cause of the crash.
