Charlie Phuc Ngo Obituary, Death – A man who died in a crash along the Big Sur coast has been identified by the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident occurred on Thursday around 12:09 p.m. when emergency responders from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and fire crews were dispatched to a crash near the 35-mile marker of Highway 1, south of Big Sur.
Authorities reported that a vehicle veered off the highway and plunged down a cliff between the roadway and the ocean. The sole occupant of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials identified the deceased as 36-year-old Charlie Phuc Ngo of Sacramento.
Details surrounding the cause of the crash remain unclear. CHP has launched an investigation into the incident.
