Cheryl Gaydos Obituary, Death News – The Charleston County Coroner’s Office announced on Wednesday the identification of a homicide victim in West Ashley.
Cheryl Gaydos, a 47-year-old resident of Charleston, succumbed to injuries sustained during an assault, according to Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal. She was discovered on Saturday, March 29, after law enforcement conducted a welfare check at her residence in the MAA Westchase apartment complex located off Westchase Drive. Charleston police reported that Jayme Ryan McKinney, 44, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with murder.
Investigators confirmed that McKinney and Gaydos were in a relationship. He has been processed at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
