Christopher Cooke, Reginald Ware Obituary, Death – The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office has identified two men who were fatally shot in separate incidents. Christopher Cooke, 42, was discovered dead early Wednesday morning at the intersection of South Interstate 10 Service Road and Crowder Boulevard in the West Lake Forest area. Police had initially responded to a report of a hit-and-run at 1:23 a.m. Upon arrival, they found Cooke had been shot multiple times, leading authorities to classify his death as a homicide.
Reginald Ware, 38, was identified as the victim of a shooting in the Tall Timbers-Brechtel neighborhood in Algiers. Officers arrived at the 3700 block of Texas Drive at 7:18 a.m. on Wednesday and found Ware, who was declared dead at the scene. Although initially considered an unclassified death, the autopsy revealed that Ware had been shot, leading to a change in the ruling to homicide.
