Crystal Emory Obituary, Death – A 36-year-old woman from Asbury, identified as Crystal Emory, tragically lost her life in a rollover crash that occurred on Saturday morning. The incident took place at 11:44 a.m. on Route H, about three miles northeast of Asbury in Jasper County, Missouri.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash began when a 20-year-old male from Topeka, who was driving an SUV, traveled southbound into the path of an oncoming vehicle. This forced Crystal Emory, who was driving a Toyota Camry, to lose control. The resulting collision caused her vehicle to overturn. Despite efforts to save her, Emory was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Jasper County Chief Deputy Coroner, Scott Keatts, confirmed Emory’s identity after the fatal crash. The SUV driver, who sustained only minor injuries, was transported to Mercy Carthage hospital for treatment. Missouri State Highway Patrol noted that, under their new policy effective since November 1, they no longer release the names of individuals involved in crashes in their reports.
The tragic accident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of driving in such circumstances and the devastating consequences that can arise from unexpected collisions. Authorities are likely to investigate further to determine any contributing factors to the crash.
