Damion R. Gantt Obituary, Death – A 30-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle accident in Saluda County on Sunday evening, September 8, 2024. The crash occurred on Pencreek Road, near Dean Road, just under a mile from the Saluda town limits, according to the Saluda County Coroner’s Office.
The accident involved a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro, which veered off the right side of the road while heading east. The vehicle struck a ditch and a fence before colliding with two large trees. The car eventually came to a halt in the yard of a nearby home.
The driver, Damion R. Gantt from Saluda, was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy is scheduled to be performed later this week. The Saluda County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are both conducting investigations into the accident.
