Daniel Negrelli Obituary, Death – A tragic skiing accident over the weekend claimed the life of a man from Canton while he was at a resort in Utah, authorities reported.
The Unified Police Department stated that a distress call came in around 1:15 p.m. on Saturday after passersby discovered an unresponsive man on the slopes. It appeared that he had collided with a tree.
Ski patrol responded swiftly and attempted life-saving measures, but despite their efforts, the man—later identified as 53-year-old Daniel Negrelli—was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was found at the bottom of the Middle Slope at Solitude Ski Resort.
Authorities confirmed that Negrelli was equipped with proper skiing gear, including a helmet, and that he had been skiing alone at the time of the accident.
The incident remains under investigation as officials work to determine the exact circumstances surrounding his death.
