Dayquan Wiley Obituary, Death – The identity of the teenager who was fatally shot multiple times at a residence in Springfield over the weekend has been disclosed by the Sangamon County Coroner. Coroner Jim Allmon confirmed that 17-year-old Dayquan Wiley sustained multiple gunshot wounds at a location on South 11th Street, close to East Laurel Street in Springfield. He was pronounced dead at approximately 3:30 p.m., shortly after his arrival at the hospital.
An autopsy conducted on Monday revealed preliminary findings indicating that Wiley’s death resulted from multiple gunshot injuries. The investigation into Wiley’s death is ongoing, being conducted by both the Springfield Police Department and the Sangamon County Coroner’s office.
