Dennis Hall Obituary, Death – The Nebraska State Patrol is seeking public assistance to find a vehicle linked to a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred late Thursday night in western Nebraska. The incident took place on Interstate 80, west of Big Springs, and was reported to authorities via a 911 call at 8:40 p.m. Both troopers and the Deuel County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
When they arrived, they discovered Dennis Hall, a 72-year-old from Clovis, California, dead beside a Lincoln Town Car parked with a flat tire on the highway shoulder.
The initial investigation reveals that Hall was in the process of changing the tire when he was struck by a passing vehicle. Witnesses observed a vehicle fleeing the scene. Evidence suggests that a semi-truck was involved, though there is no detailed description of the truck. Authorities believe the semi may have sustained damage to its front passenger side.
Efforts to locate the involved semi at various truck parking areas have so far been unsuccessful. The Nebraska State Patrol urges anyone with information about the hit-and-run, or those who see a semi-truck with front-end damage, to contact them at 308-632-1211.
