The Dinwiddie Sheriff’s office reported her disappearance on Friday, August 16, after she was last seen driving northbound on Route 1 at Sturgeon Road in Brunswick County.
Following a thorough search, authorities located her vehicle on Saturday, August 17, in a wooded area of southern Dinwiddie County, near Manson Church Road. Unfortunately, Dorothy was found dead at the scene. However, a passenger in the vehicle, Annie Mae Berger, was discovered alive and taken to a hospital for medical evaluation. She is expected to recover fully.
