According to authorities, the shooting occurred just after 11:15 p.m. on Monday in the 1800 block of East Somerset Street. Officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of a person with a gun. Upon arrival, they discovered Sharif suffering from multiple gunshot wounds—three to his back and two to his chest.
Recognizing the severity of his injuries, officers quickly transported Sharif to Temple University Hospital. However, despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at 11:35 p.m.
