According to authorities, the shooting occurred just after 11:15 p.m. on Monday in the 1800 block of East Somerset Street. Officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of a person with a gun. Upon arrival, they discovered Sharif suffering from multiple gunshot wounds—three to his back and two to his chest.
