Edward Yarnold Morehouse Obituary, Death – Authorities have identified a man killed in a hit-and-run incident in Oildale late last year. The Kern County Coroner’s Office confirmed that 51-year-old Edward Yarnold Morehouse, a resident of Bakersfield, was the victim of the crash.
The fatal collision occurred on December 27, 2024, on Roberts Lane, just north of Brandon Way. Officials reported that Morehouse was struck by a vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 10:40 p.m.
According to the coroner’s report, Morehouse’s cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma, with the manner ruled as an accident. However, the driver responsible for the crash fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.
