Incident Details
On the night of March 21, at approximately 10:49 p.m., officers responded to a reported shooting in the 2500 block of Perring Manor Road. Upon arrival, they discovered a teenager, later identified as Emerson Serrano-Zaldiba, suffering from a gunshot wound inside the residence.
Medical Response and Fatal Outcome
Officers provided immediate aid until medics arrived. Serrano-Zaldiba was transported to a nearby hospital, but despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead.
Investigation Ongoing
Homicide detectives are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting to determine whether it was an accidental self-inflicted incident.
