Emily Ora Woosley Obituary, Death – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the identity of the individual who perished in a devastating crash on Sunday as a woman from Carlisle. Shortly after midnight, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an accident in the 5700 block of SE Vandalia in Pleasant Hill. Upon arrival, first responders discovered a single vehicle overturned and completely engulfed in flames.
According to the sheriff’s office, once the firefighters had extinguished the fire, they located an adult female deceased in the vehicle. On Tuesday afternoon, the sheriff’s office identified the victim as 35-year-old Emily Ora Woosley from Carlisle.
An initial investigation revealed that Woosley was travelling eastbound on SE Vandalia when she lost control of her vehicle, collided with a guardrail, and subsequently rolled into a ditch. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash remains ongoing.
