Emmanuel Villalobos Obituary, Death – Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal shooting in Menifee as Emmanuel Villalobos, a 42-year-old resident of the city. The incident occurred late Wednesday night inside a residence on the 25000 block of Antelope Road, according to Menifee Police Spokesperson Chase Coburn.
Villalobos sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and was found unresponsive when Menifee Police and Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department medics responded to a 911 call shortly after 11 p.m. Despite attempts to administer first aid, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives from the Menifee Police Department were called to investigate due to what Coburn described as “suspicious circumstances” surrounding Villalobos’s death. The investigation is ongoing, but authorities have clarified that the case appears to be an isolated incident. All witnesses have reportedly been cooperative, and there is no immediate threat to the surrounding community.
The police have also confirmed that the incident is neither a home invasion nor a domestic dispute. However, no arrests have been made as of yet, and investigators are continuing to gather evidence.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the case to contact Detective Kaub at Jkaub@menifeepolice.org or (951) 723-1656.
