Fernando Aguilera-Bravo Obituary, Death – An individual was struck and fatally injured by an Amtrak train on Friday evening, as reported by the Salem Police Department. Authorities indicate that the incident took place around 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of Blossom Drive and NE Niles Avenue.
The Salem Police Department stated that the southbound train crew observed the individual on the tracks, facing the approaching train. Despite the crew’s repeated horn signals and their efforts to halt the train, the individual remained stationary, resulting in an unavoidable collision.
The victim has been identified by law enforcement as 35-year-old Fernando Aguilera-Bravo, a resident of Salem.
