George Gatson Obituary, Death News – Authorities are investigating a deadly collision that occurred Thursday morning in Bethel Township, Ohio, involving a motorcycle and a sedan.
Crash Details
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSP) Springfield Post, the accident happened around 11 a.m. at the intersection of State Route 235 and U.S. Route 40. Preliminary findings indicate that a 2006 Harley Davidson FLSTF was traveling southbound on State Route 235 when it was struck by a northbound 2018 Acura TLX attempting to turn left onto U.S. Route 40.
Officials report that the driver of the Acura failed to yield to the motorcycle, resulting in a collision.
Victim Identification
The motorcyclist, identified as 68-year-old George Gatson of New Carlisle, suffered critical injuries. Emergency responders transported him to Miami Valley Hospital, where he later died.
The driver of the Acura was not injured in the crash and did not require medical attention at the scene.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the scene alongside the Bethel Township Fire Department, EMS, CareFlight, and the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
