Jackie Jo Torrez, Marcus Isaiah Taylor Obituary, Death – A tragic incident at a hotel in Auburn Hills resulted in the deaths of two people in what authorities believe was a murder-suicide. The incident occurred late Friday night at the Holiday Inn Express, located off Baldwin Road.
At approximately 10:45 p.m. on March 7, police were dispatched to the hotel following a report of a possible domestic violence situation. As officers approached the room in question, they suddenly heard two gunshots. Upon entering, they discovered a 34-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man deceased from gunshot wounds.
Authorities later identified the victims as Jackie Jo Torrez, 34, of Saginaw, and Marcus Isaiah Taylor, 33, of Vassar. A 3-year-old girl was also found inside the room but was unharmed.
Out of an abundance of caution, the child was taken to a hospital for evaluation before being released into the care of a family member. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
