James Dunham Obituary, Death – Authorities are investigating a tragic house fire that claimed the life of an 84-year-old man in Madison County, Indiana, on Friday.
According to Madison County Coroner Adam Matson, the coroner’s office was dispatched to a home in the 18000 block of North 300 East in Summitville following reports of a fatal residential fire. The victim has been identified as James Dunham.
Emergency responders from multiple agencies, including the Indiana State Fire Marshal, the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, and the Van Buren Township Fire Department, arrived at the scene to assess the situation and conduct an investigation. Officials have not yet determined the cause of the fire.
Matson stated that an autopsy and toxicology tests are pending to provide further information on the victim’s cause of death.
As the investigation continues, authorities are working to determine what led to the fire and whether any external factors contributed to the fatal incident.
