James Jackson Obituary, Death – A teenager from Gering has died following a collision early Monday morning. James Jackson, 18, was driving his Ford Ranger northbound close to 10th Street in Gering shortly before 8 a.m. when he collided with a Ram pickup truck. Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the Ram truck, a 44-year-old man from Gering, was ejected from his vehicle and taken to Regional West Hospital with severe injuries, according to the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP). While it has not been officially confirmed, NSP speculates that both alcohol and speeding may have contributed to the crash.
