Jarrell Green Obituary, Death – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the pedestrian who tragically lost his life after being hit by a vehicle on Saturday afternoon in Hempstead. The deceased has been identified as Jarrell Green, a 27-year-old resident of Hempstead.
Nassau County police report that the homicide unit is currently examining the circumstances surrounding the incident, which took place at 4:08 p.m.
As Mr. Green attempted to cross Front Street from the south side to the north side, he was struck by a westbound 2004 Honda, according to police statements. He sustained significant injuries to his head and body and was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:32 p.m. by a medical professional.
The 20-year-old female driver remained at the scene of the accident, and the vehicle underwent brake and safety inspections, as reported by the police.
The investigation into the matter is still ongoing.
