Jiyeon Lee, Taehee Kim Missing – A family of three has gone missing while traveling from the Grand Canyon to Las Vegas, prompting a search by law enforcement.
According to the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office in Arizona, Jiyeon Lee, Taehee Kim, and Junghee Kim were on vacation when they were last known to be driving on Thursday, March 13. Their journey took them along Interstate 40, where their vehicle’s GPS last registered their location at approximately 3:27 p.m.
Authorities have not confirmed what happened after that point. However, they noted that a large multi-vehicle crash occurred along the interstate that day, raising concerns that the family may have been involved. Officials have not yet determined if their vehicle was part of the accident or if they encountered another issue along their route.
The missing family was traveling in a white 2024 BMW with a California license plate reading 9KHN768. Law enforcement is urging the public to come forward with any information that could help locate them.
