John M. Boyd Obituary, Death News: Authorities have named the individual who lost his life in a head-on collision on I-84 in June. The crash involved another driver traveling in the wrong direction, according to an announcement by police on Tuesday.
John M. Boyd, 44, was driving westbound near Northeast 162nd Avenue when a vehicle traveling east in the westbound lanes collided with him. Emergency services transported Boyd to the hospital, but he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
The other driver involved in the accident, Heather Greig, 34, has been indicted on multiple charges, including first-degree manslaughter, driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII), recklessly endangering another person, and reckless driving.
Portland police are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.
