Joshua Diaz Obituary, Death – Authorities are conducting an investigation following the fatality of a Pawtucket man in a collision involving a dump truck on Wednesday afternoon. Law enforcement officials responded to the intersection of Plainfield Street and Union Avenue in Providence after receiving reports of an accident with injuries.
Preliminary findings suggest that a vehicle collided with the rear left side of a construction dump truck on Plainfield Street. The vehicle incurred substantial damage to its front end and windshield, according to police reports.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as 29-year-old Joshua Diaz, was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.
