Juan Martinez Rojas Obituary, Death – The Ada County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of the pedestrian who tragically lost his life after being hit by a vehicle on Interstate 84 over the weekend. The individual has been identified as Juan Martinez Rojas, a 23-year-old resident of Caldwell, Idaho.
The fatal incident occurred early on Saturday morning. According to the coroner’s office, Rojas sustained severe traumatic blunt force injuries as a result of the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident took place while Rojas was attempting to cross the westbound lanes of I-84, specifically near mile marker 45 in Meridian.
Authorities have confirmed that the Idaho State Police (ISP) is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. As of Monday, ISP spokesperson Aaron Snell was not available for further comments or details.
The coroner’s office has classified the event as an “accident.” This designation indicates that, based on the current information, the incident was not considered to involve any criminal intent or negligence. Further investigations by the ISP will aim to clarify all aspects of the accident.
