As she approached the intersection with Woodstock Road, Streit failed to yield, leading to a collision with a 2018 Kia Soul driven by a 67-year-old woman from Loves Park.
Tragically, Judy Streit was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Kia Soul was transported to a Rockford hospital. Her injuries were reported to be non-life-threatening. The circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation by the authorities.
