Justin Paul Grote Obituary, Death – The identity of the individual who perished in a house fire in Carthage over the weekend has been disclosed. The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that the victim is 48-year-old Justin Paul Grote, who lost his life in the fire that occurred on Rosewood Street on Sunday.
District Fire Chief Randal Freel reported that firefighters arrived at the scene of the two-story residence at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. Emergency dispatchers had received reports indicating that a man was trapped on the second floor, who was later identified as Grote by the coroner’s office on Monday.
Chief Freel noted that the fire resulted in the displacement of three individuals. Investigators have assessed the damage caused by the fire to be around $45,000.
The specific cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
