Kaitlynn Lee Obituary, Death – A mother was discovered deceased from a gunshot wound in New Albany over the weekend, leading to the arrest of a man. At approximately 5 a.m., law enforcement received a call directing them to 131 Village Drive. Upon arrival, officers reported finding a woman suffering from a gunshot injury.
She has been identified as 25-year-old Kaitlynn Lee, who was pronounced dead at UofL Hospital at 5:44 a.m. by the coroner. Authorities have taken 25-year-old Joshua Thompson into custody, charging him with murder.
It has been indicated that the two individuals had a “preexisting relationship.” A GoFundMe campaign established by her family reveals that she was a mother of three children. Law enforcement officials have stated that there are no other suspects involved and that there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
