Kristin Little Obituary, Death – An Arizona woman died when her car plunged approximately 1,000 feet off a cliff southwest of Prescott on Friday, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO). Deputies were dispatched to the Thumb Butte area, located about two miles from Copper Basin Road, around 5 p.m. on Friday after receiving reports of a car falling off a cliff. Upon arrival, they discovered the vehicle roughly 1,000 feet down a steep mountainside.
The woman, later identified as 39-year-old Kristin Little from Prescott, was found deceased at the scene. YCSO reported that Little was ejected from the vehicle after it had descended about 500 feet.
In their search efforts, deputies utilized drones and an Arizona Department of Public Safety helicopter to ensure there were no additional victims, but no other individuals were found. Due to the difficult terrain and the absence of daylight, YCSO decided to delay the recovery of Little’s body until the following morning.
YCSO personnel remained at the scene overnight and successfully retrieved her body and transported it to the medical examiner’s office just before noon on Saturday.
Investigators believe that Little was driving north on Thumb Butte Road when she swerved left, causing her vehicle to go off the road and tumble down the mountainside. The circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation.
