According to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office, the victims, identified as 57-year-old Lavern Yoder and 58-year-old Mattie Yoder, were riding their bicycles on a rural road near their home when they were hit by a vehicle. The crash occurred shortly after 8 p.m. when a 20-year-old driver of an SUV collided with them.
When law enforcement arrived at the scene, both victims had already been pronounced dead. Authorities have not yet stated whether the driver will face charges.
