Leanna Farraj Obituary, Death- The woman who lost her life in a tragic accident that resulted in the closure of Stefko Boulevard in Bethlehem for several hours on Sunday has been identified as Leanna Farraj, a 24-year-old resident of Brooklyn, N.Y. According to Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek, Farraj succumbed to multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the crash. The coroner confirmed that the death was accidental.
The incident, which involved a single vehicle, occurred shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Sunday at the 1600 block of Stefko Boulevard, near the intersection with Bayard Street. Bethlehem Police Capt. Nicholas P. Lechman reported that the car collided with utility poles. Onlookers at the scene extricated Farraj from the vehicle and administered initial aid, but she was declared deceased on-site.
Another individual was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be rescued. This person was transported to the hospital with severe injuries, although their condition was deemed stable by Lechman on Sunday evening. The authorities have not disclosed the identity of the driver.
Lysek stated that no further details regarding the crash would be disclosed presently. Lechman mentioned that speed likely played a role in the accident.
