Lister Mora Prudencio Obituary, Death – A 47-year-old man who was fatally struck by a vehicle in east Bakersfield has been identified by authorities.
According to the Kern County Coroner’s Office, the victim, Lister Mora Prudencio, was hit on Edison Highway on the night of March 9. The incident took place beneath the Mount Vernon Avenue overpass at approximately 10:41 p.m. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Prudencio was pronounced dead at the location.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) determined that he had been walking northbound across the westbound lanes of Edison Highway when he was struck. Officials noted that he was outside of a designated crosswalk at the time of the accident.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
