Lowell B. Sibley Obituary, Death News – A 70-year-old man lost his life following a collision involving two vehicles on Interstate 65 in Shelby County on Tuesday afternoon. Lowell B. Sibley, a resident of Oneonta, tragically passed away after his vehicle struck another near the 239 mile marker at approximately 2:25 p.m. on August 6. Following the initial impact, Sibley’s vehicle overturned several times.
Authorities have reported that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident. He was subsequently transported to Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, where he succumbed to his injuries. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division will proceed with the investigation into the accident.
