Mark Alan Rasmussen Obituary, Death – On Black Friday, a tragic motorcycle crash claimed the life of 62-year-old Mark Alan Rasmussen, a resident of Northeast El Paso, according to local police. The fatal accident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Dyer Street and Deer Avenue.
Authorities reported that a Dodge Charger, traveling northbound on the 10100 block of Dyer Street, approached the intersection where Rasmussen was riding his motorcycle southbound on the same road. As the Charger attempted to make a left turn at the intersection, it crossed directly into the motorcyclist’s path, resulting in a collision.
The impact of the crash left Rasmussen with critical injuries. Emergency responders transported him to a nearby hospital, but despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
This incident marks the 63rd traffic fatality in El Paso for 2024, a slight decline compared to the 75 reported during the same period last year. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
