Marquise Antonio Waller Obituary, Death – The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Thanksgiving evening, November 28, in Ridgeway. Authorities responded to a report of gunfire into an occupied home on Villa Road around 5 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies discovered 29-year-old Marquise Antonio Waller, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Tragically, Waller was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Roanoke for an autopsy.
Shortly after the incident, 25-year-old Takai Anthony Brodie surrendered to investigators at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office. Brodie was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and using a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is currently being held at the Henry County Adult Detention Center without bond.
The sheriff’s office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
