Martin Martinez Gallegos, Gabriel Martinez Torres Obituary, Death – In a tragic incident, a head-on collision on Buena Vista Boulevard in Bakersfield has resulted in the deaths of two individuals. The Kern County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identities of the victims as 52-year-old Martin Martinez Gallegos and 45-year-old Gabriel Martinez Torres, both of whom were residents of Bakersfield.
The accident occurred on July 20, 2024, at approximately 1:59 a.m., involving a Chevrolet Tahoe and a Chevrolet Silverado in a catastrophic head-on crash. According to the California Highway Patrol, the Tahoe was travelling eastbound on Buena Vista Boulevard, while the Silverado was moving westbound at the time of the collision.
Regrettably, both Gallegos and Torres, the drivers of the respective vehicles, succumbed to their injuries as a result of the crash. A 39-year-old passenger in the Tahoe was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the incident.
