Megan S. Persiani Obituary, Death – The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has reported that a woman has died following a collision with a vehicle on Friday evening. According to ALEA, 30-year-old Megan S. Persiani from Union Grove was walking along U.S. 231 in the vicinity of Staid Road when she was struck by a car.
The vehicle involved was operated by 32-year-old Jacob A. Muhlhauser from Arab. Persiani was declared deceased at the scene of the incident. Authorities indicate that Muhlhauser sustained injuries and was subsequently transported to Huntsville Hospital for medical attention.
The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office noted that northbound lanes of Highway 231 were closed due to the accident but were reopened at approximately 7:11 p.m. on Friday.
Troopers from the ALEA Highway Patrol Division have stated that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
