Melissa Adams Obituary, Death – The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified 44-year-old Melissa Adams as the victim of a significant shop fire in Ridgefield on June 3.
Adams, a Ridgefield resident, died from smoke inhalation and heat-related injuries sustained in the blaze. The fire, which fully engulfed the shop, prompted a response from Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, they were informed by witnesses that someone might be inside the building. However, the intense flames and structural damage made it impossible for the crews to safely enter the building.
In addition to the fatality, another resident was transported to the hospital due to a medical emergency related to the incident.
