The crash occurred while Turner was traveling westbound along Montana Avenue. Investigators from the Special Traffic Investigations Unit reported that Turner was riding in a lane designated specifically for U-turns. As he attempted to navigate the curve in the road, Turner was unable to successfully complete the turn. This caused his motorcycle to strike the curb.
As a result of the impact with the curb, Turner was thrown from his motorcycle. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported Turner to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, Turner succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
