Noah Michael Edwards Obituary, Death – Macon County Coroner, Michael D. Burkham, has confirmed the identity of the 6-year-old boy who sadly lost his life after being struck by a vehicle on Thursday morning. The child has been identified as Noah Michael Edwards from Decatur, Illinois.
The incident took place at the intersection of Oakland and Packard Streets.
According to police reports, Edwards was trying to cross Oakland Avenue to reach a school bus stop when he was hit by a southbound 2024 Nissan Rogue.
The driver of the Nissan, a 41-year-old resident of Decatur, was unharmed in the accident. Authorities indicated that no school bus was present at the time of the collision and found no evidence suggesting that the driver was impaired.
