Parvin Montazer Obituary, Death – Authorities reported that a man, accused of fatally stabbing his 72-year-old mother, was shot and killed by police officers in Irvine on Thursday afternoon. Emergency services were alerted shortly before 3 p.m. regarding an assault on a woman at the intersection of Green Tree Lane and Royce Road.
Upon arrival, officers witnessed the suspect attacking the woman in the street, which led them to discharge their firearms. Both the assailant and his mother sustained fatal injuries and were declared dead at the scene.
The suspect has been identified as 37-year-old Paul Parvea Montazer from Las Vegas, who was the son of the victim, 72-year-old Parvin Montazer, a resident of Irvine.
Investigators are currently examining the details surrounding the incident. Information regarding the motive for the stabbing has not yet been disclosed.
