Qrrey Bates Obituary, Death – Authorities have confirmed the identity of a man discovered deceased inside a vehicle in Springfield. The Springfield Police located the body of a man who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Friday, near the intersection of South 13th Street and Cornell Avenue.
Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon has identified the deceased as 23-year-old Qrrey Bates, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
