Riyaz Death News – A well-known gangster named Riyaz met a fatal end in Hyderabad, having been shot dead on the city’s outskirts. The incident occurred last Thursday night on RCI Road, within the jurisdiction of the Balapur police station. Riyaz, aged 39, was riding his motorcycle when unidentified assailants in a vehicle pursued him, compelling him to halt before opening fire. Tragically, Riyaz succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Reports indicate that longstanding rivalries may have motivated the attack. A resident of B Block in Baba Nagar, Riyaz had a documented history of criminal involvement, including murder. Authorities suspect rival gang members may be responsible, particularly given Riyaz’s previous confrontations with a known criminal, Chaku Nazir.
The police have collected bullet casings from the crime scene and are currently analyzing CCTV footage for potential leads. Three individuals are being interrogated, and the investigation is ongoing, with assistance from the Rachakonda SOT and the Hyderabad South Zone Task Force.
Riyaz had an extensive criminal background, allegedly connected to six homicides. A rowdy sheet was filed against him in 2004 at the Kanchanbagh police station. He was also implicated in the 2013 murder of Fazal, who had ties to gangster Ayub Khan.
The tragic event unfolded after Riyaz and Chaku Nazir had spent the evening drinking at a local bar. As they departed and reached RCI Road, they were ambushed by the attackers, resulting in Riyaz being shot three times and assaulted with rods. The police are diligently working to ensure justice for Riyaz’s untimely death and to apprehend those responsible. The news of a gangster’s shooting in Hyderabad has reignited memories of old rivalries.
The city has a notorious history of gang violence and territorial disputes, with various criminal factions competing for dominance. This recent incident has once again highlighted the perilous underbelly that persists in Hyderabad.
